Our journey takes us through a tapestry of Vietnam’s rich history, starting from the ancient town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site.
As we move towards Hue, we encounter the Bang An Tower, a symbol of the Champa civilization that thrived in this region over a thousand years ago. This tower offers a rare glimpse into the Champa culture and Hindu religion, standing as a testament to the region’s diverse historical influences.
The journey through the Hai Van Pass, or Cloudy Pass, presents breathtaking vistas and a challenging path that has been a significant trade route through the ages, offering panoramic views of what could only be described as Fairyland.
